Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before booking lessons with us
Last updated: 23 August 2026
These terms and conditions govern the provision of driving lessons by Direct Pass Driving ('we', 'us', 'our') to you ('the student'). By booking a lesson or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms.
Booking and confirmation
Lessons are booked by agreement between the student and instructor. A booking is confirmed once we have contacted you to agree a date, time and location. We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.
Payment
Payment is due before or at the start of each lesson unless a package has been purchased in advance. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking. Packages must be paid in full before the first lesson in the package commences. Prices are as stated on our website and are subject to change with reasonable notice.
Cancellation and rescheduling
We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson without charge. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged at the full lesson rate. In exceptional circumstances (illness, bereavement, emergency) we will use our discretion. We reserve the right to cancel a lesson due to unsafe weather conditions, vehicle breakdown or instructor illness, in which case no charge will be made and we will rearrange at the earliest opportunity.
Lesson packages
Lesson packages are non-refundable once commenced, except where required by law. Unused lessons in a package may be transferred to another student with our agreement. Packages must be used within 12 months of purchase. We reserve the right to terminate a package arrangement if the student's conduct is deemed unsafe or inappropriate, in which case a pro-rata refund for unused lessons will be provided.
Student responsibilities
You must hold a valid provisional driving licence for the category of vehicle being driven. You must inform us of any medical conditions, disabilities or eyesight issues that may affect your ability to drive safely. You must arrive on time for lessons; late arrival may result in a shortened lesson at the full price. You must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication that may impair your driving ability.
Instructor responsibilities
Our instructors are fully qualified DVSA-approved driving instructors (ADIs). We will provide a roadworthy, insured vehicle suitable for the lesson. We will provide professional, patient tuition tailored to your needs and progress.
Liability
Our vehicles are fully insured for tuition purposes. We accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from a student's failure to follow instructor instructions. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Test bookings
We do not book driving tests on behalf of students. Students are responsible for booking their own test through the DVSA. We can advise on test readiness but cannot guarantee a pass. Test fees are non-refundable by us.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us in the first instance so we can try to resolve the matter. We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 working days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The 'last updated' date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
